Jared Leto’s Joker makes a frightful return with a terrifying new look in this jaw-dropping Zack Snyder’s Justice League artwork.

We haven’t seen Jared Leto don that eerie smile of The Joker in the DCEU since 2016. The actor and singer played the villainous Clown Prince of Crime in the critically-reviled Suicide Squad and fans have been wondering if he would ever return. Though the future of this unique take on the Joker remains uncertain in terms of the DCEU canon, Leto will reprise the role in the upcoming “Snyder Cut” of Justice League – which is expected to drop on HBO Max in March.

While we’ve yet to see what kind of work he will contribute to the reshoots of the recut, some incredible concept art has given fans an idea of what he could look like.

How Jared Leto’s Joker could feature in Zack Snyder’s Justice League

With so much speculation in regards to the “Snyder Cut” in general, it’s hard to know what the new iteration of the movie will look like. Fans are undoubtedly very excited for the project, but much of it remains a mystery at this stage.

The Joker’s role in the movie also remains a mystery – especially when you consider the character wasn’t in the original cut of Justice League. And yet, he could appear in a moment all-too familiar to fans of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – especially if this fanart is correct.

Digital artist Bryan Zap has taken to Instagram (H/T: Heroic Hollywood) to share an incredible piece of art, showcasing Leto’s Joker in the infamous Knightmare sequence. And it’s safe to say the Clown Prince is nothing short of terrifying in the image.

If The Joker looks anything like this fanart in Justice League‘s Snyder Cut, we’re in for one awe-inspiring encounter!
