Major DC star to be written out of The Flash role
It has been revealed that Cyborg actor, Ray Fisher, has been written out of The Flash movie.
It seems that the end of the road has been reached for one character in the DC Extended Universe as The Wrap has confirmed that Ray Fisher has been written out of upcoming DCEU movie The Flash.
While Fisher was in negotiations to appear in the standalone Flash movie as Victor Stone/Cyborg last year, it had not been confirmed if he had signed onto the project. As established in the latest report, the character will be “written out” of the screenplay penned by Christina Hodson and Fisher is not being replaced in the role of Cyborg.
Though it seems that Fisher’s time with Warner Bros.’ DCEU has come to an end for now, fans of him and the Cyborg character can look forward to seeing him in Zack Snyder’s Justice League – the four-part miniseries set to drop on HBO Max known the world over as The Snyder Cut.

Of course, this all stems from the ongoing beef between Fisher and DC Films, coming after he accused Joss Whedon of exhibiting “gross, abusive and unprofessional” behavior on the set of Justice League. Following the actor’s highly-publicized issues with the Buffy The Vampire Slayer creator as well as other Warner Bros. executives, WB launched an independent investigation into the matter and confirmed that “remedial action” was taken.
Fisher sent out a tweet in December, confirming that he would not be participating in any DC production associated with DC Films’ president Walter Hamada. And, following the publication of The Wrap article, he called for the outlet to amend any references to him leaving as he did not choose to step down, suggesting that WB chose to write him out instead.
The Flash stars Ezra Miller, Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton and Billy Crudup, with more names expected to join the ever-growing cast in the months ahead. Andy Muschietti is directing from a screenplay by Christina Hodson. Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco are producing for The Disco Factory in association with DC Films. Warner Bros. Pictures is set to distribute.
The Flash is set to exit the Speed Force and hit theaters on November 4, 2022.
