Justice League star confirms dismissal from the DCEU on Twitter

Justice League’s Ray Fisher has officially confirmed that Warner Bros. have moved on from his character in an essay he posted to Twitter.
Cyborg actor Ray Fisher stated in a tweet that Warner Bros. have removed Victor Stone from upcoming DCEU film The Flash.
This news comes after earlier reports that the character’s cameo had been written out of the Ezra Miller film, as the Justice League star continues to have beef with DC Films.
While it was never officially confirmed that Cyborg was going to appear in the film, Ray Fisher seemingly confirms that he was going to be in the film through his comments.
Ray Fisher via Twitter:
"“I have received official confirmation that Warner Bros. Pictures has decided to remove me from the cast of The Flash. I strongly disagree with their decision, but it is one that is unsurprising. Despite the misconception, Cyborg’s involvement in The Flash was much larger than a cameo—and while I do mourn the lost opportunity to bring Victor Stone back to the screen, bringing awareness to the actions of Walter Hamada will prove to be a much more important contribution to our world.”"
The actor has had issues with DC Films, after Fisher accused Joss Whedon of “gross, abusive and unprofessional” behaviour during the filming of Justice League. Fisher made numerous comments about his issues with both Whedon and other Warner Bros. executives. This led to the studio launching an investigation, which WarnerMedia concluded by saying “remedial action” had been taken.
Will Cyborg ever return to the DCEU?
Fisher’s comments within his essay seemingly spell the end to Cyborg’s time in the DCEU, as previous reports suggest the role will not be recast.
It is a shame that fans may not see Cyborg again, as the character was promised to have a big role after first making an appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The character was slated to appear in Justice League, a Cyborg solo film and the rumored role in Ezra Miller’s The Flash.
Fans of the character will get a chance to see Cyborg return in Zack Snyder’s cut of 2017’s Justice League, due to release on HBO Max in March. Snyder’s cut of Justice League will be shown as a four-part miniseries, which will be around 4 hours in length.
The Flash stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Michael Keaton as the 1989 film version of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film is set to release in November 2022 and is directed by Andrés Muschietti (IT, IT Chapter 2).
Zack Snyder’s Justice League is expected to land on HBO Max in March. The Flash is expected to hit theaters on November 4, 2022.
