4. Vision discovers the truth
From the very beginning of “On A Very Special Episode…”, Vision begins to suspect things are not quite right in Westview. It all begins with Vision noticing the strange actions of their neighbour Agnes, who seems to always appear at the right time with exactly what the couple needs.
He also noticed that she seemed to ask Wanda to “retake” her arrival scene because Vision wasn’t playing his part and, on top of Agnes’ strangeness, he also notices that she does not seem to be freaked out at all by seeing Wanda use her powers or the rapid ageing of Tommy and Billy.
However, the scene that really takes the cake is the interaction between Norm, Vision when the pair discover the SWORD messages on the office computers. Once Vision discovers an email from Darcy Lewis on the computer about what Wanda is doing, he accidentally uses his power to bring back Norm’s subconscious personality – as in the real person trapped inside of the character Norm.
The character is fully freaking out about being trapped in Westview. He has no idea how long he has been there, and tells Vision that he needs to stop Wanda as she is in his head.
This scene is horrifying and showcased the kind of horrors the people trapped in Westview are experiencing thanks to Wanda’s fabricated reality.
