1. Quicksilver has arrived!
The moment that left fans’ jaws on the floor and this writer screaming with joy. Pietro Maximoff has made his way to Westview, but it is not the Pietro played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson from Avengers Age of Ultron. This version of Quicksilver is played by Evan Peters, the X-Men films star who played Peter Maximoff from X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse and X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
Having X-Men’s Quicksilver appear instead of the MCU’s version of the character leads to a few questions and theories.
Peters’ appearing could, of course, lead to an appearance from more characters from the X-Men films’ universe in the MCU – if he is playing the same version of the character he played in Fox’s films, that is. However, he could simply be playing a “recast” version of the character from the MCU.
There are infinite possibilities as to why Evan Peters’ Quicksilver has come to Westview, with the multiverse set to play a role in both Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the untitled third Spider-Man movie.
No matter the reason for Peters appearing in the series, fans are ecstatic to see the actor bring his popular portrayal of the character to life once again and the possibility of further X-Men characters from that universe is just as exciting.
