2. Is Pietro really Mephisto?

Wanda may have been thrilled to see her brother return from the dead – albeit with a different face – but that didn’t stop her from testing the new Quicksilver. But the silver-haired speedster was successful as he recounted some information that only he and Wanda could have known. And yet, it still feels like all is not what it seems.

It does look like Pietro was introduced to cause some chaos in Westview, so naturally, the question is: Who is he, really?

The answer to that question may be simpler than you’d think. Fans have been speculating that he’s really the Lord of Hell, Mephisto, in disguise, showing up to cause havoc for Wanda just because he can.

From the different face to the fact that he referred to Billy and Tommy as “demon spawn” – when, in the comics, they are literally fragments of Mephisto’s soul – it’s looking like there definitely could be a more sinister element to Evan Peters’ wonderfully chaotic Pietro.

1. How much did the Hex expand?

The episode’s closing moments saw Wanda discover that Vision was in trouble after Billy alerted he. In a panic, she immediately decided to expand Westview, moving the outer edges of town further and further away from the center of it. As a result, the Hex’s energy field began to expand, enveloping Dr. Darcy Lewis, a lot of S.W.O.R.D. agents and even the S.W.O.R.D. base of operations.

The episode ended before we could find out if it got to Monica and Jimmy (or Hayward for that matter) so it goes without saying that the outcome of Wanda’s actions are still very much uncertain.

How much more ground did she allow the Hex to cover? Has it enveloped more towns, cities or, dare we say it, countries? We’ll surely find out next week.

WandaVision streams a new episode every Friday on Disney+ at 12:00 a.m. PT.
