Loki season 1 is not coming to Disney Plus in April 2021

Marvel fans might have had to wait longer than anticipated for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to take over Disney Plus, but the wait was well worth it!

WandaVision season 1 kicked off 2021 on a high note and delivered an incredible season which is already creating Emmy buzz. The show then passed the torch to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier which has quickly become a breakout hit in its own rights and already has fans buzzing about Marvel’s next Disney Plus release: Loki season 1.

From the moment Marvel first announced Tom Hiddleston would be reprising his role as the God of Mischief for an original series, fans have been counting down the days until the show’s release. The good news is the fans won’t have to wait too much longer for Loki season 1, but the bad news is the season won’t be arriving in April 2021.

The complete list of shows and movies coming to Disney Plus in April 2021 was recently announced and Loki season 1 was noticeably absent from the list. While unfortunate, it wasn’t exactly surprising though.

Loki season 1 release date

The reason Loki season 1 was not among the April 2021 release schedule is that Disney Plus has already set a premiere date for the show which just so happens to fall in early June!

That’s right, Loki season 1 will be coming to Disney Plus on Friday, June 11 meaning we only have a few short weeks left until we get the chance to catch the first episode of the show on Disney Plus.

The release plan also seems to be similar to how Disney Plus approached WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, with Disney opting to put some space between its shows rather than having them air at the same time.
