Are Lizard and Sandman in Spider-Man: No Way Home?

Casting news had already revealed that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man would be going up against Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2 and Jamie Foxx’s Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The trailer also seemingly confirmed that the rumours about Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin appearing in the film were also true, however, the new footage may have also revealed two more villains making their comebacks to menace another Spider-Man.

During a blink and you will miss it moment around the two and a half minute mark, Peter is attacked by a strange figure in the dark. This figure roars and is blocked by presumably one of Doctor Strange’s force fields. Fans have studied the short clip and believe that it is The Lizard (Rhys Ifans) from The Amazing Spider-Man after playing around with the footage.

The other potential reveal comes during a scene where Electro (Jamie Foxx) is seemingly attacking a giant sandstorm. This sandstorm moves when it is attacked, indicating that it could be alive. This has led to speculation that Sandman will be appearing in the film and could potentially be portrayed by Thomas Haden Church from Spider-Man 3.

Neither character nor actor has been officially confirmed for the film, but the footage showcased and the Spider-Verse nature of the film make it entirely possible that these two villains could appear as a part of some interdimensional Sinister Six.
