Marvel’s What If…? season 1, episode 9 live stream: Watch finale online

Where and when can you stream season 1, episode 9 of What If…? What else do you need to know about the season finale? Here’s how you can watch it online. 

Season 1 of Marvel Studios’ What If…? is coming to an end. The viewers were given some happy moments throughout the run of that season. Peggy Carter became Captain Carter, we saw a world where T’Challa was Star-Lord, and Thor threw a party so massive it engulfed the world. There were also plenty of moments that made people sad in What If…?. We witnessed the destruction of a reality, zombie Avengers, and Ultron abolishing most of his life in his reality.

For Ultron, the story didn’t end after completing his mission. He found out that there was a multiverse. He then went on to beat Uatu the Watcher in a fight and declared that he’d destroy life all over the multiverse. Luckily, Uatu escaped and went to the reality that Doctor Strange Supreme destroyed. There, he broke his vow of non-interference and asked Doctor Strange for help.

In the season finale of What if…?, we can expect to see some old and new faces. There have been a few trailers that have shown Demon Doctor Strange talking with Captain Carter. Others have shown Party Thor being told about the multiverse and not understanding what he’s being told. Hopefully, we’ll get another appearance from T’Challa as Star-Lord as well. He’ll always be welcomed.

Of the new, we’re going to see a Gamora unlike the one in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the promotional material, we see she’s wearing Thanos’ armor and wielding his blade. Does this mean she’s the one searching for the Infinity Stones or did she kill her father and steal his body sheathing? What if this Gamora is from T’Challa Star-Lord’s reality? She was missing from that episode. There’s no way that was by accident, right?

Going into this episode, some questions need to be answered. First, how much damage did Ultron do to the multiverse? There’s no way he stopped after Uatu disappeared. Second, who else will Utau recruit to his team? Will this be the team we saw that switched places with the Avengers in the first trailer? Is this Ultron really Galactus? Lastly, will the heroes brought together be enough to defeat an Ultron using the Infinity Stones? There’s no guarantee they’ll win. Maybe this is something that could play into Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.

As What If…? is a Disney Plus-exclusive series, the ninth and final episode of the season can only be viewed on the paid subscription service itself (Disney Plus).
