Titans season 3 has left fans worried and confused about Dick Grayson’s well-being. Is actor Brenton Thwaites ready to depart the show?

Titans isn’t particularly known for tackling things in a gentle way. Whenever it wants you to feel something, it makes sure that you feel it. The show doesn’t beat around the bush and, most of the time, likes to get down to violent and bloody business.

The third season has seen it go all out in that department, offering up a selection of episodes that many fans already consider to be its finest outing yet. And it has continued to shock, stun and stupefy viewers with some unexpected outcomes.

Speaking of unexpected outcomes, the most recent episode, “The Call Is Coming From Inside The House“, saw Nightwing (Brenton Thwaites) and Red Hood (Curran Walters) do battle for the fate of Gotham City right in the heart of, well, Gotham City.

However, before that battle can conclude, some manipulated and angry Gothamites interrupt and threaten Nightwing with a gun. As the hero temporarily allows himself to be distracted by Red Hood’s resurgence, the man holding the gun fires again, with the third shot hitting him in the neck.

With Dick Grayson falling to the floor in a pool of blood, Jason Todd backs away in shock. Meanwhile, the Gotham residents decide to take their treachery one step further and gang up on the wounded Nightwing, refusing to allow him any chance to escape to get help.

Is Brenton Thwaites leaving Titans?

Whenever a character on a TV series’ fate comes into question, fans immediately wonder if the actor playing them is leaving the show. Thankfully, there are no signs to suggest that Brenton Thwaites will be leaving Titans any time soon.

While Titans is very much an ensemble show, Dick Grayson is essentially the main character and it would be difficult to imagine the show without him (or Thwaites for that matter). Moreover, it’s hard to believe the show would ever kill off a major DC character like Dick Grayson, especially when he’s the leader of the Titans.

No, Alan Ritchson and possibly Minka Kelly, may have left the show this season, but don’t be expecting Brenton Thwaites to do the same.

Titans season 3 adds a new episode to HBO Max every Thursday.
