The Boys season 3 release date revealed: When is it coming out?

The Boys season 3 release date has been revealed and it’s going to be diabolical. 

The Boys season 3 may just be the most anticipated returning show of 2022. While fans are excited about the upcoming college spin-off and animated anthology series The Boys: Diabolical, they also want to know when season 3 is debuting.

Season 2 ended with changes for everyone. Mother’s Milk went back to his family, Frenchie and Kimiko danced as they left their hideout, Hughie went to work for Victoria Neuman (who was behind the exploding heads), Star-Light and Queen Maeve are back with The Seven after exposing who Stormfront really is, Homelander is seen pleasuring himself on top of a building, and Butcher is on his own. All of this set the stage for what will surely be a diabolical third season.

Well, fans will be happy to know that we finally have a release date. As revealed by The Boys‘ official social media page, Season 3 will premiere on June 3, 2022.

Expectations of season 3 of The Boys

Like the previous season, The Boys season 3 will have eight episodes, beginning with 3 episodes released on the first day. Besides the premiere date, everyone should circle June 24 on their calendar. The sixth episode of the season arrives on that day and it is simply titled “Herogasm“. An episode inspired by The Boys‘ source material and is known as one of the raunchiest moments in comic book history. With that in mind, this episode could end up being as talked about as Game of Thrones‘ internet-breaking Red Wedding.

In one of the clips released, Homelander is smiling from ear to ear as Ashley Barrett looks on in fear. Ashley knows that Homelander smiling likely means that something awful is running through his mind. She’d be right. If “Herogasm” is following the comics, then this will be the moment where Homelander hatches a plan that could change the world.

Of course, there’s also the anticipated debut of Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy. Ackles is no longer Dean Winchester in Supernatural and he’s been sorely missed since the show concluded. His return to TV in The Boys will likely result in new viewers tuning in. Look for one of the last two episodes of the season to have a brutal fight between Soldier Boy and his team (Payback) and The Boys.

Lastly, expect more of what we’ve already seen. With brutal fights and provocative moments that will no doubt shock viewers all over again. The best part is that it’s all done within an amazingly written story. The creative team for The Boys hasn’t let us down so far and this writer doesn’t expect season 3 to be any different.
