2. Moon Knight No. 1 “Slasher”

Writer: Warren Ellis

Artist: Declan Shalvey

Moon Knight is known for brutally beating people up. He’s done things that would make Wolverine blush. One time he beat Deadpool so bad that he ended up in the hospital (and Wade has a phenomenal healing factor!). Because he’s so good physically, people may not know how good he is mentally. This story highlights that.

This is the first time we see Mr. Knight. Because Moon Knight is wanted by the police, Marc had to use a different name. That was the first smart thing he did. He then used all of the clues at the crime scene to find a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent that was killing people. How he defeats him may be better than detective skills. This writer will let you see how for yourself.

3. Moon Knight No. 5 “Scarlet”

Writer: Warren Ellis

Artist: Declan Shalvey

Scarlet is this writer’s favorite example of what Mr. Knight is capable of. First, he shows up in a limo and threatens the guy protecting a group of criminals. He shoves a giant blade in the guy’s face and says the last person he used this on still passes shards of his ribcage when he goes to the bathroom. As a result, the guy immediately lets Mr. Knight pass. What he does next is a violent ballet.

Mr. Knight destroyed everyone who tried to stop him. If they weren’t dead, they woke up wishing they were. He broke backs, ankles, and other body parts on his way to save a kidnapped girl. When he finds the guy in charge, he almost cripples him. He then leaves him with a message for people like him: “When you see me, RUN.”
