Green Lantern

We never got to see Green Lantern in the DCEU. There was test footage of the hero coming to earth to talk to Bruce Wayne in Snyder’s Justice League. Ultimately, that ended up being Martian Manhunter, thanks to Warner Bros scrapping the idea. The new CEO should revisit the idea of featuring Green Lantern over the 10-year plan.

HBO Max allegedly had a series planned for the intergalactic space protectors. Since there’s been so much change, it’s safe to say the series isn’t happening, and that’s okay. Before we get a trio of heroes that feature John Stewart, Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, and Simon Baz, a green Lantern movie should happen.

There are a few ways we could see Green Lantern on the big screen. Fans have wanted John Stewart in a live-action movie for a while. It’s time we get what we want, but it should visit include Hal Jordan.

David Zaslav should revisit an old rumor where Hal and John teamed a buddy-cop-themed film. Imagine seeing Hal Jordan as a somewhat seasoned Green Lantern having to team with the militant new Green Lantern, John Stewart. It’s a film that writes itself as Hal could teach John to use his imagination while learning from John how to be a leader. It’ll all take place while they take on an intergalactic threat. We could even get a Martian Manhunter cameo with Harry Lennix reprising the role.
