The Last of Us episode 6 release date: When does the next episode come out?
By Mark Lynch
When is The Last of Us season 1, episode 6 coming out? What can you expect in the next episode?
Episode 4 of The Last of Us ended with Henry’s brother pointing a gun at Joel (looks like his noise trap didn’t work). It goes without saying for fans of the video game, but episode 5 is likely a big one for all who have watched it, as they followed Henry and Sam’s journey.
Episode 5 is also the episode that introduces viewers to a scarier type of Clicker. Clickers are blind because the fungus has grown out of their faces and through their eyes. These particular infected have unrivaled hearing. The smallest sound will attract them to a victim. Plus, they’re more difficult to kill. We saw out first glimpse at the more terrifying Clickers in the original trailer for The Last of Us and, yeah, terrifying. Hopefully they’ll live up to everyone’s expectations.
Joel and Ellie’s journey to Wyoming will continue in episode 6. This isn’t the end of the fighting. If the next few chapters of the show are like the video game, viewers are going to see what Joel can really do. Not just as a man of action, but a leader as well. This is where things start to get more hectic than ever.
When does The Last of Us episode 6 come out?
The Last of Us season 1, episode 6, titled “Kin”, premieres on both HBO and HBO Max on Sunday, February 19, at 9 pm ET, 8 pm CT, and 6 pm PT.
While the show did unveil its fifth episode a little earlier (on the Friday prior to its Sunday TV debut) due to the Super Bowl, things will go back to normal from here on out, with the show returning to its Sunday night slot on both HBO and HBO Max. The times and dates will remain the same for the show throughout the rest of the series’ first season run.
We may now be over halfway through the season, but don’t be expecting any kind of midseason breaks (like we have seen from HBO Max shows Titans and Doom Patrol). The Last of Us will continue to release new episodes until the season finale in March.
