Gustaf Skarsgard as Lex Luthor

There is no Superman without Lex Luthor. Gustaf Skarsgard would be an excellent choice for the role of Lex Luthor in James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy. Known for his imposing presence and commanding performances, Skarsgard has the potential to bring a never-before-seen version of Luthor to the big screen. With a height of 6’4, his physicality would make him an ideal match for Superman’s towering presence.

The age gap between Skarsgard and Superman could help flesh out their differences and add an interesting dynamic to the story. In the comics, Luthor is often portrayed as an older, more experienced businessman who views Superman as a threat to his power. However, with Skarsgard’s age, the film could explore a different side to Luthor’s character, such as a younger, more ambitious and ruthless version.

Given Skarsgard’s previous roles, it’s easy to see how he could bring a fresh take to the character of Lex Luthor. As Floki in Vikings, he played a genius inventor, which could translate well to Luthor’s scientific and technological expertise. In Cursed, he portrayed Merlin, a manipulative and cunning character, which could help him tap into Luthor’s darker side.

Skarsgard has all the qualities needed to play Lex Luthor in Superman: Legacy. Fans could expect a dynamic and intriguing portrayal of the iconic villain if he were to be cast in the role, with the potential for an exciting and complex relationship with Superman.
