X-Men: Logan will likely leave X-Force and Wolverine takes over

Thanks to Beast, Wolverine will be leaving X-Force. Does that mean he’s done with the X-Men and Krakoa as well?

Wolverine’s time in Krakoa has been better than it was before, but still not great. Such is the life of Logan. He was one of the first people to be killed and brought back to life (House of X and Powers of X) and was sent through time to protect Charles Xavier from Omega Red (X Lives of Wolverine). Recently, one of the original X-Men (Hank McCoy a.k.a. Beast) killed and then used Logan when he was brought back to life. Logan has been loyal to mutants for decades, but being used by Beast may cause him to leave Krakoa.

Because of what Beast was doing, Logan hasn’t been on official X-Force missions. Plus, it appears that Beast is part of the Quiet Council. That could mean that Hank McCoy was forgiven for abusing Logan’s body and mind. If this is the case, Logan will look at this as the ultimate betrayal. Everyone in the X-Men is aware of how his enemies have used him. The last place he should have to worry about that is on Krakoa.

Logan has been known to leave the X-Men and go out on his own. Since the birth of Krakoa, Wolverine has stayed with his teammates and family. X-Men fans knew it was only a matter of time before he got up and left again. The betrayal of his friends is likely what did it. One thing’s for sure, he’s officially done on X-Force. According to Marvel.com, there’s still a Wolverine on their team and it’s Laura Kinney.

There’s another X-Men crossover coming up called The Fall of X. Like the title says, this could be the destruction of Krakoa. The Sins of Sinister and Orchis are just the beginning. Logan leaving Krakoa is going to hurt the mutants of Krakoa more than people realize. He’s one of the most loyal mutants of all time. If he lost faith in the island nation, there’s no way others won’t follow him off of the island.
