In 2015, Dan Slott wrote a Spider-Man crossover called Spider-Verse that featured Spider-Beings from across the multiverse. There, they went up against the Inheritors. Throughout that series and beyond, Peter Parker of Earth-616 was the Chosen One.
When Shanthra started to lay her claim to the Spider-Verse, Peter’s entire history was rewritten. He wasn’t Spider-Man. Instead, Cindy Moon was the spider in charge. This meant that the fate of the Spider-Verse fell to her leading the way. After helping save the world, Peter Parker returned as the Amazing Spider-Man. However, Madame Web said they needed to discuss Silk’s new role as leader. Silk is now the new Chosen One.
Earth-616 is the new Loom World

After Shanthra was defeated, all of the displaced Spider-Beings were standing around. One of them asked a very important question; is Earth-616 the new Loom World? Shanthra destroyed the original one (Earth-001) back in Spider-man No. 1.
With the former Loom World uninhabitable, Earth-616 could be the replacement. Considering that Earth-616 is where most of the disasters start, it only makes sense that it would be their nexus that connects the Spider-Verse and the heroes that protect it. That being said, where will their base be?
