Arrow: Every character ranked from worst to best

30. Ra’s al Ghul

If you have never heard of Ra’s al Ghul, then we need to talk. This is a name that has long been synonymous with Batman and yet to learn that he would be a part of Arrow was something of a surprise. It was intriguing to learn that we would get al Ghul on the show and as a fan of all things DC, I know I was also a bit excited for his arrival.

Here is an iconic villain, known for going up against the Dark Knight himself, and he is looking to Oliver Queen to be his heir! What universe are we living in here? (Don’t answer that.)

When it comes to characters that had an impact on Arrow, it would be unforgivable if we forgot about Ra’s al Ghul. However, I will say that he never quite lived up to his reputation (as a Batman villain) while going head-to-head with Oliver’s Arrow.

While he was definitely an important aspect of what helped to shape the show and at the very least, Oliver Queen, there were times when the character was more petty and vindictive than anything else. He lacked some of the threats that we know he can dish out. He may have been a better villain in terms of impact than Damien Darhk (at least in this series), but he simply doesn’t live up to his name when it comes to ranking higher on this list.
