Of course, if you are not familiar with them we got you covered, here is what you should watch to get familiar with Rachel Brosnahan.
1. The Marvelous Ms. Maisel
This may be the most popular show that Brosnahan was in as she was the star of the Amazon Prime series. The hit show ran for five seasons and recently wrapped up.
Brosnahan starred as Midge Maisel, a housewife turned comedian after going through an unexpected separation. The series is set in the late 1950s and early ’60s to which Brosnahan won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2018 and back-to-back Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in 2018-19. The series gives flashes of the potential of what Brosnahan can do as the spunky journalist for the Daily Planet and should be priority watch number 1.
2. House of Cards
Brosnahan was on the hit Netflix series for three seasons playing Rachel Posner, a former prostitute who found herself in a relationship with a top White House staffer. Of course, we won’t spoil anymore if you have not seen the series but, if you want to see a more serious side of her acting abilities tune in and give this a watch!
3. The Blacklist
Brosnahan was not always the leading star as she found herself in brief roles and guest spots. One such role was in the first season of the TV series The Blacklist as a spy named Jolene Parker. Now we all know Lois Lane will find herself in sticky undercover journalistic situations and after her role as a spy in this series, we have no doubt she can pull this off.
4. Manhattan.
Rachel spent two seasons on the 1940s period piece Manhattan where she played the character Abby Isaacs. In the show, she was the wife of scientist Charlie Isaacs who was sent to work on the famed Manhattan Project.
5. Patriots Day
While these others are TV series, Brosnahan is no stranger to the silver screen. In 2016 she portrayed Jessica Kensky a survivor of the Boston Marathon Bombings in the film Patriots Day. While her role is brief she does a fantastic job in the film which leaves no doubt the big screen is her place to shine.
