5. Tom Felton

It’s all in the family here. At least the fictional Malfoy family. If we are considering Jason Isaacs as a great choice to play Magneto, especially an older, more mature version of the character, then it actually makes sense to look at Tom Felton as a younger version.

Considering Felton portrayed Draco Malfoy, a major antagonist for Harry Potter, and someone aligned with Voldemort, we already know that the actor can give us a nuanced villain. Not only do we know that he can realistically give us a character with powers, but he also has an ability to make us believe that he is a tortured soul with tragedy leading him down the wrong road.

While Tom Felton certainly moved on from his Harry Potter days thanks to his role on The Flash, it doesn’t mean that he couldn’t give us a new villain as part of the MCU. And we know that he can handle the world of comics turned live action thanks to his role as Julian Albert. Basically, he just fits the bill perfectly as both a villain and someone who has already done work with a comic book property.

In general, Felton is a really solid actor who has already been part of a major tentpole franchise. He knows how to be a scene stealer, while also being able to monologue convincingly. Having him step into the MCU as a villain actually makes perfect sense. And what better way to do that than with the X-Men?
