42. Captain Hook

"“I’ll get you for this, Pan, if it’s the last thing I do!” -Captain Hook"

Have you ever met someone who just won’t let something go? The kind of person that holds a grudge no matter how weird it is? That’s Captain Hook. He’s attempted to kill/capture Peter Pan for an untold number of years. He could have left Neverland and cut his losses like Peter Pan did his hand. Instead, he chases a kid who continuously beats him.

Peter Pan isn’t the best part of his movie. That right goes to Captain Hook. If it wasn’t for the evil captain, no one would care about Pan. He’s not interesting and kind of annoying. Captain Hook adds a balance that’s needed to keep the film interesting.

41. Jack Skellington

"“Just because I cannot see it, doesn’t mean I can’t believe it!” -Jack Skellington"

Only someone like Tim Burton could create a character as dark and fun as Jack Skellington. The Nightmare Before Christmas was released thirty years ago and the Pumpkin King remains popular. A lot of it could be attributed to him trying something new.

Jack’s attempt to be Santa Claus can be looked at as inspiring. He saw something different and gave it a shot. While he did fail, he learned something about himself. Jack discovered that he’s the best at what he does. This made Jack happier than when he started his journey.
