It isn't a rare occurrence for multiple, long-awaited superhero projects to be released in the span of a year. What's a little bit more uncommon is when four of them come our way during the very same month. May 2026 has no shortage of heavy-hitter shows and games waiting to see the light of day: from violent special presentations featuring everyone's favorite anti-hero all the way to what might be one of the Caped Crusader's most ambitious adventures.
Though street-level heroes are bound to take the spotlight across all of these releases, there's something for everyone's liking. Both Marvel and DC have a big slate for this month, and these are the four projects you should keep an eye on.

Daredevil Born Again Season 2 finale
Release date: May 5
It has all been building up to this. Fans have already watched seven exciting and heartbreaking episodes of Daredevil: Born Again season 2. The Devil of Hell's Kitchen has tried to do everything in his power to stop the Kingpin of Crime from completely taking over the city, and those efforts have finally started to pay off. However, the worst is yet to come, and that's where the series finale comes in.
So far, we've witnessed the deaths of fan-favorite characters, the returns of legends such as Jessica Jones and Brett Mahoney, and insane hand-to-hand action sequences that stand out across all of Marvel Television. Episode 4 broke an IMDb record for its impressive rating, while episode 7 perfectly set the scene for an explosive finale that's set to pull no punches. No one is sure what to expect from the final stand between the Devil of Hell's Kitchen and the Kingpin of Crime. However, one thing is for certain: We wouldn't want to miss what's set to happen next.
Pictures taken from the set of Daredevil: Born Again season 3 reveal that huge twists and turns are in store. So it remains to be seen how much the final episode of season 2 dives into that and whether any of those surprises will come our way a little earlier than expected.

The Punisher: One Last Kill Special Presentation
Release date: May 12
After the Man Without Fear's ongoing adventure comes to an end, it will be time for Frank Castle to take over the spotlight.
The Punisher made his first proper Marvel Cinematic Universe debut during the first season of Daredevil: Born Again. The last time we saw him, he was being held captive in one of Wilson Fisk's cages at the Red Hook port. However, when Matt Murdock finally freed all the prisoners trapped there, Frank Castle was nowhere to be seen.
Daredevil: Born Again season 2, episode 4 included a small hint that indicated The Punisher is now a free man once more. But how exactly did Frank escape the Kingpin's reach, and why will he join forces with the wall-crawler in Spider-Man: Brand New Day? Well, The Punisher: One Last Kill Disney+ presentation is bound to answer all those questions and more.
Little has been revealed about the Punisher's upcoming adventure. However, the presentation has been rated TV-MA, meaning we're bound to witness the levels of violence and blood we all expect from the iconic anti-hero. Furthermore, its first official trailer already includes nods to the Punisher's original Netflix series, which is bound to make fans happy. Fortunately, it won't be long before we discover everything that Marvel has in store for us with this long-awaited project.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
Release date: May 22
If you were to ask a superhero fan what their favorite Batman movie is, chances are that you'd hear a lot of different answers given the sheer amount of adventures the Caped Crusader has starred in. We all know Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight is beyond iconic, but Matt Reeves' The Batman isn't far behind. Furthermore, few movies can capture the magic of Tim Burton's Batman '89. Well, Batman comic books, animated series, and video games are also filled with a lot of hidden gems. If only there were one single project that acted as a celebration of the hero's most memorable adventures.
Well, that's exactly where LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight comes in.
The upcoming TT Games' video game is unlike anything the studio has done before. Gamers worldwide are about to dive into a fully-realized Gotham City divided into four districts, each containing no shortage of activities to do. We'll solve the Riddler's iconic puzzles, we'll take control of literal cats courtesy of Catwoman's abilities, and we'll be able to drive the Batmobile to go from one place to another.
There are seven different characters available to choose from, with local co-op enabled. Furthermore, the main campaign of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will guide us through the Caped Crusader's most memorable moments across all forms of media. One level will be completely dedicated to Batman: Arkham Asylum, while the next mission might pay homage to Batman '89. Simply put, this is a must-play for Batman (and superhero) fans as a whole.

Spider-Noir
Release date: May 27
Over the years, we've seen Peter Parker get all the spotlight in live-action adaptations. However, for the first time in decades, that's about to change. Meet Ben Reilly, a private investigator living in New York City during the Great Depression. He was out of the picture for many years, but a new, twisted case will make him jump back into action as The Spider.
Spider-Noir is unlike any Spider-Man project we've seen before. This rendition of the friendly neighborhood hero isn't as friendly as the others, given that he isn't afraid to use guns to get himself out of problems. Iconic villains like Sandman, Black Cat, Silvermane, and Tombstone are bound to make the wall-crawler's life all the more difficult, while newcomers such as Megawatt and Jimmy Addison are looking to make a name for themselves. As if that wasn't enough, fans have theorized we could even see Man-Spider take over the small screen as well.
Unlike most modern TV releases, all eight episodes of Spider-Noir will make their way to Prime Video on May 27. So, if you have 5 hours and 30 minutes to spare, then you could binge-watch the wall-crawler's upcoming adventure in one go. And who knows? Maybe Spider-Noir's success will open the door for more live-action adaptations featuring iconic Spider-Man variants across the multiverse.
