A big MCU crossover to happen in Daredevil: Born Again season 2

We all know Daredevil likes to work alone, but it looks like he'll have the help of some iconic heroes moving forward.

There was a time when it seemed we had lost Daredevil forever after the cancellation of its original Netflix show. It wasn't until after an entire revival campaign, a creative reboot, and six years of patience that the Devil of Hell's Kitchen was finally summoned onto our screens again. Now, all eyes are currently set on Daredevil: Born Again, and it has been delivering big time. It's clear that the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn't holding back in the slightest when it comes to the first chapter in Matt Murdock's story, and the best part of all of this is that we're just getting started.

Marvel has officially confirmed that a second season of Daredevil: Born Again will arrive in 2026. And while we still have to learn how things will conclude during the first installment, that hasn't stopped us from wanting to know what will happen next. Fortunately, a new report might give us some much-needed answers while painting a very bright future for Matt Murdock and his fight against the Kingpin of crime

Daredevil will form a team of heroes in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

According to reliable insider Daniel Richtman, Matt Murdock will bring together a team of heroes to fight against the Kingpin's Anti-Vigilante Task Force in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. While The Man Without Fear is no stranger to big crossovers thanks to Netflix's The Defenders, this time we could witness an even bigger team-up given that it will take place in the MCU. The only question remaining is: Who could answer Matt's call for justice?

Given that The Punisher will make his MCU debut in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again and have his own Special Presentation on Disney Plus next year, it seems extremely likely that he'd also be recruited to fight against the Kingpin. Furthermore, we've heard reports of The Defenders stepping out of the shadows to join forces with Daredevil, meaning we could see the comeback of fan favorites such as Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage, and Finn Jones' Danny Rand. But why stop there?

Wilson Fisk has already made a lot of enemies during his brief time in the MCU. Maya Lopez shot him in the eye and he isn't really loved by Hawkeye or Kate Bishop either. So it wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume any of the three (or perhaps all of them) could also join forces with the rest of the Defenders. So far, we've only discussed characters who are likely to appear in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. However, there are a few more unrealistic options that could make the internet explode if they made a surprise appearance.

For a very long time now, there has been a lot of conversation surrounding the possibility of Spider-Man and Daredevil teaming up. While it seems legally unfeasible given that Sony holds the rights to any adaptation of the wall-crawler, it is a team-up that fans have been eager to see. Besides, it has also been reported that the two will eventually cross paths — except it will be after Avengers: Secret Wars premieres. All signs indicate Peter will be unfortunately missing during the events of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. However, if for any reason he swung his way onto the small screen to save the day, then Marvel will undoubtedly have a big success on its hands.

Moon Knight is another character who'd definitely steal the spotlight during such a big crossover. Besides, Marc Spector made his debut in a Disney Plus show, so it wouldn't be out of place for his follow-up appearance to be during another similar project. Unfortunately, we know basically nothing about what Marvel has in store for him in the future. Rumor has it these "supernatural" characters will eventually steal the spotlight, but it will be a long way down the road. So it seems unlikely Moon Knight will show up out of the blue to fight the Kingpin — especially when his storyline has been completely isolated from the rest of the MCU.

Regardless of who ends up siding up with Matt Murdock once The Kingpin of Crime outlaws all heroes in the city, it's nice to hear there's a great probability that a big crossover will take place in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. That's one of the many perks of having The Man Without Fear in the MCU once and for all, and we couldn't be any more excited to see how it all pans out.

Daredevil: Born Again is now streaming on Disney Plus.
