The street-level corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in utter chaos thanks to the events of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. The battle between the Devil of Hell's Kitchen and the Kingpin of Crime has claimed many lives and caused a lot of damage to New Yorkers. It has all been building up towards a bloody conclusion, and it's nearly time to witness how this tale comes to an end.
Seven different episodes of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 have come and gone, and no shortage of shocking events have happened. We watched the return of Jessica Jones, the death of Vanessa Fisk, and Matt Murdock save Bullseye's life. However, the best is yet to come, though there is also some bittersweet news to compensate.

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 episode 8 is the last of the season
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 8, will arrive on Disney+ on Tuesday, May 5, at 9 pm ET, 6 pm PT, 7 pm MT, and 8 pm CT. The episode, titled "The Southern Cross", will be the last of the season, bringing to a definite end the ongoing Mayor Fisk storyline. Furthermore, it will have a reported runtime of 51 minutes, which would make it the longest of the season, alongside episodes 1 and 4.
Ever since the Devil of Hell's Kitchen and the Kingpin of Crime returned to the small screen, we've seen them face off in what seems to be an intricate chess match that also involves the world of politics. However, all of that will be coming to an end with the release of the next episode. But while New York is bound to have a brand new day under a brand new mayor, the battle between evil and good will go on.
Filming for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is already underway, and it is set to be the biggest yet. Set pictures have revealed that the Defenders are bound to assemble once more, with Danny Rand and Luke Cage finally joining the MCU after the cancellation of their respective Netflix series. Furthermore, we already have a good idea of what will happen in the next chapter of Matt Murdock's life, but be warned: There will be spoilers ahead for the end of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.

Luke Cage actor, Mike Colter, posted behind-the-scenes pictures of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, and one of them showcased Matt Murdock in a prison uniform. The post was then edited to remove that specific image, but it was already a little too late. Now, the whole world knows that we're bound to see an adaptation of The Devil in Cell Block D comic book storyline, where Matt Murdock's secret identity is unveiled, and he goes to prison.
During the events of The Devil in Cell Block D, Matt denies being the Man Without Fear. Much to his surprise (and fortune), there's someone else out in New York dressing as Daredevil and keeping the city safe. Towards the end of the story, we learn that Danny Rand was the one filling in for Matt. That could explain how the Iron Fist will come back in the MCU after all these years.
While there are plenty of exciting stories awaiting to be told, we'll have to wait a year until the release of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3. Meanwhile, there are three Marvel street-level projects just around the corner.
One week after the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale comes our way, we'll watch The Punisher: One Last Kill Special Presentation, where we'll finally learn how Frank Castle escaped the Kingpin's cell. Furthermore, Spider-Noir is set to be released on May 25 on MGM+ and May 27 on Prime Video. The wall-crawler will then swing onto the big screen courtesy of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Jul. 31, 2026, where the Punisher will also make an appearance.
With a bit of luck, we'll get to see Matt Murdock cameo in an upcoming MCU project soon. But regardless of the case, we'll see him on the small screen next year once more, and we still have one more episode of his ongoing adventure to go.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is now streaming on Disney+.
