We're coming up on the long-awaited return of the Devil of Hell's Kitchen. Matt Murdock steps back into the horned cowl for Daredevil: Born Again season 2, which is set to premiere on Disney Plus in March. However, a recent development about its apparent release schedule has sent fans into meltdown, as it might signal a game-changing shift.
In a new press release previewing the titles coming to Disney Plus in March 2026, Disney has indeed confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will premiere on March 24. However, it doesn't list just one episode, rather simply titling it "Daredevil: Born Again season 2". What's even more interesting is that the next Tuesday, March 31, doesn't have the second episode of the season listed (despite that same press release featuring weekly episode listings for American Idol).
Naturally, fans have taken this to mean that the show will be shifting to a binge-release model, potentially dropping all eight episodes on the streamer at once. It's important to note that Marvel Studios has not yet addressed this in a statement, but the Disney press release would suggest that this is the case.

This comes after the most recent Marvel Cinematic Universe series Wonder Man dropped all eight episodes on the streamer in January. Although it was part of the Marvel Spotlight umbrella, mirroring the multi-episode release of Echo in January 2024, it could perhaps signal a shift from Marvel towards the binge-drop model. After all, both previous animated shows - Marvel Zombies and Eyes of Wakanda - released all four episodes at once, while Ironheart released its six episodes across two separate binge-drops of three. So when you really think about it, the last weekly release that Marvel Studios has offered us was Daredevil: Born Again season 1 in March 2025. The question is: Was it the last one?
Fans debate the highs and lows of a potential Daredevil binge-watch
Marvel Television is at an interesting crossroads. Fans argued that it used the binge model for the previous releases as those were part of the former Marvel Studios miniseries vision and therefore the studio wanted to move on from them as quick as possible. Daredevil: Born Again, on the other hand, was supposed to be one of the first of its new era - as it shifted towards general television content. Releasing it in a binge-model would feel like a step backwards.
That said, there could be a method to this apparent madness. As beloved as Daredevil: Born Again's first season was, it became the first of the MCU Disney Plus shows not to crack the Nielsen Top 10 charts. Although its viewership started strong, matching that of previous Marvel series Agatha All Along, it generally stayed in the same place throughout - whereas Agatha grew immensely throughout its run, charting on the Top 10 list multiple times. If Marvel releases all eight episodes at once, the show would stand a much better chance to breaking onto that list - just as the lesser-known Echo managed to do so because of its binge-drop release.

If Born Again's second season does opt for a binge-drop, it would be pretty ironic considering that the show is a revival of Netflix's Daredevil - all three seasons of which were released as binge-drops. Perhaps Marvel is thinking it's time to go back to those days.
As fans wait for Marvel Studios to officially confirm the release schedule for Daredevil: Born Again, this has divided them. On one hand, bingeing through all eight episodes in one sitting sounds amazing, but considering that the show was such a big part of the MCU release calendar last year, wasting them all in one go - especially when season 2 sounds like it's going to be even better than season 1 - seems like a missed opportunity. We'll have to wait and see which way it goes.
Daredevil: Born Again season 2 arrives on Disney Plus on March 24, 2026.
