It's time to get excited, Marvel fans, because actors involved in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 just confirmed what we've all wanted to hear about the series.

After the cancellation of Netflix's Daredevil back in 2018, fans spent years campaigning for the Man Without Fear to find a new home in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At long last, the devil made his long-awaited comeback in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the future seemed bright for Matt Murdock and his ensemble of secondary characters.

Anticipation was at an all-time high when Daredevil: Born Again was eventually announced, but all of that excitement suddenly turned into caution. Midway through production, it was announced that the Disney+ series would undergo a creative reboot, leaving fans to wonder what went wrong and whether the final result would be worth it.

Fortunately, Daredevil: Born Again was released to critical success in 2025. However, it is also fair to say that Matt's latest show didn't quite reach the heights set by its Netflix predecessor. With that in mind, expectations are set on season 2 to capture lightning in a bottle once again, and it seems Marvel may have achieved just that.

Deborah Ann Woll and Wilson Bethel say Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will feel more like the Netflix show

Deborah Ann Woll, Wilson Bethel, and Vincent D'Onofrio—the actors behind Karen Page, Bullseye, and Kingpin, respectively—had a chance to attend Rhode Island Comic Con and talk about Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Fortunately, they all seem to agree on one thing: the upcoming batch of episodes will be reminiscent of the previous show.

Deborah Ann Woll said Daredevil: Born Again season 2 mimics the tone of the Netflix series while following up on the same thematics:

"If you're a fan of the vibe of the Netflix series, this definitely stays true to that and probably amplifies it, so it definitely felt like the same show with the same thematics and the same intentionality (...) but now stakes are higher."

Furthermore, Wilson Bethel added that Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 can be seen as merely the setup of bigger things to come:

"For those of us who, when the first season dropped, were like, 'Oh, cool. Okay, this is dope, but it's not quite getting me where I was with the old show', it will make the season 1 of Born Again feel like the setup, and this is the payoff."

It's important to remember that the first season of Daredevil: Born Again was the result of two different visions. While the series underwent a creative reboot throughout production, much of the material that was already filmed was used in the final product (likely to reduce costs and development time). As a result, only episodes 1, 8, and 9 were created from the ground up by the new creative team, and fans seem to agree they are the very best of the season.

Fortunately, Daredevil: Born Again season 2 won't be constrained by any previously filmed material or narrative beats written beforehand. In a sense, fans are about to watch the Man Without Fear be born again within his MCU series. Better yet, Marvel will double down on the connections to the Netflix show.

Jessica Jones is confirmed to make a comeback in Matt Murdock's upcoming adventure, while rumor has it that the rest of The Defenders will also join her. Additionally, fan-favorite Detective Brett Mahoney will also appear in the upcoming batch of episodes. As if that wasn't enough, Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple will reportedly join the cast of Born Again season 3, but not before showing up in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The future seems very grim for the Man Without Fear, which spells nothing but good news for fans of the character. The best part? We're just a few weeks away from watching the devil make criminals pay for their crimes once more.

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will be released on March 24, 2026.
