There's no denying that Matt Murdock is the man of the hour. While he made his big Marvel Cinematic Universe debut back in 2021 in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it wasn't until March of 2025 that he had the spotlight all to his own. Daredevil: Born Again has been at the center of conversations for all the right reasons. It's gripping, violent, dark, and when it hits its high marks, it does so in exceptional ways. And just like its Netflix predecessor, it has features of Marvel's greatest antagonists (except for Muse, who died too quickly for his own good).
Wilson Fisk is back, and while it took some time for him to get back to his old villainous ways, he's now stronger than ever. He's willing to bend the law in his favor as the Mayor of New York, which can only mean bad news for every superhero living in the city. In true Kingpin fashion, he created a task force that can operate above the law and do his bidding without any obstacles along the way. But while he's been the star of the show so far, we can't forget about the man who single-handedly destroyed Matt Murdock's life in just one night.
While Benjamin Poindexter wasn't initially intended to be a part of Daredevil: Born Again, that changed during the series' creative reboot. It was the right decision, as fans have been more than happy to see him wreak havoc everywhere he goes. Fortunately, his story is far from over as revealed by new set photos from the second season of the acclaimed Disney Plus series.

Bullseye will return in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 with a new suit
Bullseye's return was revealed thanks to new set photos of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 shared by the account Daredevil Shots on X (formerly Twitter). Not only do they give us a better look at Matt's Shadowland-esque suit, but they also show Benjamin's new costume. While it's very similar to the one he used in the first season, there are some slight differences. For starters, he finally has the Bullseye logo on the forehead (though it's a bit difficult to see because it appears to be the same color as the rest of the suit). Furthermore, the blue sections have a new texture, which makes the whole look feel a bit more "polished" and professional. However, these upgrades are so minor that it's unlikely that the series will give them a narrative explanation.
A set video, shared by the account Warling also showcases a fight between Daredevil and Bullseye that will take place inside Fogwell's Gym. If you've watched the Netflix adaptation, you are very familiar with this location as it's the place where Matt's father used to fight before his son used it as a training ground. Bringing back sets like these only strengthens the connection between the two small-screen adaptations, which is fantastic given that the original pitch for Daredevil: Born Again was its own separate story that ignored everything that came before it (Thankfully, that has since changed).
During the eighth episode of Daredevil: Born Again, audiences witnessed how Bullseye managed to escape prison all because of Matt Murdock himself. The Man Without Fear smashed the villain's head repeatedly on a table out of anger after trying but failing to discover the truth about Foggy's murder. However, this act of violence gave Bullseye a chance to use a loosened tooth as a projectile to incapacitate a guard and eventually kill him. So now that we know Ben Pointdexter is coming back in season 2, you can't help but wonder if Matt will feel both guilty and responsible for his freedom.
At the time of writing this, the finale of Daredevil: Born Again hasn't aired, which means fans don't know what Bullseye will do after trying but failing to kill the Kingpin. However, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume that he'll try to finish this task in Season 2. That only becomes more apparent when considering that Wilson is supposed to be inside Fogwell's gym on the set video. However, we all know that Daredevil will go out of his way to save every single life, even if it is that of his worst enemy, which would explain the confrontation.
On the bright side, it won't be long before a new batch of Daredevil episodes makes its way onto the small screen, as the second season will be released in 2026. But if that wasn't enough, Frank Castle will also steal the spotlight during his own Disney Plus Special Presentation. There was never a worse time to be a criminal in Hell's Kitchen, and fans couldn't be any happier.
Daredevil: Born Again is available to stream on Disney Plus.
