Doctor Doom said it best: "Something is coming; something we may not be able to deter," and that something just so happens to be a new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has recently found astounding levels of critical and commercial success thanks to the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Better yet, the streak isn't ending anytime soon, as the next project on the horizon is one of the most ambitious superhero crossovers ever.

We may be months away from watching Earth's Mightiest Heroes assemble on the big screen, but their upcoming film has already been making history on all fronts. Avengers: Doomsday has already grossed $19 million in domestic pre-sales despite the fact that tickets were available at fewer than 1,000 venues (before reportedly selling out). For reference, this is more than double the pre-sales of Deadpool & Wolverine, which would go on to gross $1.33 billion at the worldwide box office. As if that weren't enough, the first full-length Avengers: Doomsday trailer crossed 500 million views in 24 hours, becoming the second-most-watched trailer in that timeframe, behind Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Needless to say, fans are excited for the next MCU project. Fortunately, it may not be long before Disney gives us a small glimpse behind the curtain.

Disney will reportedly unveil its new Avengers: Doomsday trailer at D23

There's a sense of Doom in the air, and we couldn't be any more excited. According to multiple insiders, Disney is planning to showcase its latest Avengers: Doomsday trailer at D23, which is scheduled to take place from August 14 to 16, 2026. However, this is where things get a bit tricky. Scooper The Beyond Reporter claims the closed-door footage will be presented only to those attending the event. On the other hand, insider ProjectHurts stated that the trailer will be published online not too long after.

While the jury is still out on whether we'll get to see what Marvel has prepared for the event, both sources agree on the same thing: the Avengers: Doomsday trailer set to be showcased at D23 will be the exact same one Marvel debuted during its Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Unfortunately, that footage isn't available for the world to see, but we know what happens in it thanks to multiple descriptions. Fans worldwide are about to see more of Doctor Doom, with Sue Storm even describing his current mental state:

"Victor was always the smartest guy in every room. He used to be different. He used to be kind; he used to be caring. But then everything he loved was taken from him. I knew he was lost, but I did not realize that he was broken."

Furthermore, the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday trailer ends with a bang, as it features a sequence in which Doctor Doom uses his powers to raise an army of Sentinels that were lying on the ground. If this scene sounds a bit familiar, it is because an extended cut of it leaked before SDCC, revealing that characters like Thor, Shang-Chi, Steve Rogers, Mr. Fantastic, and the X-Men will go toe-to-toe with Doom's army of robots.

While Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be an integral part of Marvel's presentation at D23, it won't be the only project bound to get the spotlight. VisionQuest is scheduled to be released on October 14, 2026, and yet we haven't seen a look at the dangers the iconic android is about to face next. So not only should we expect a VisionQuest trailer, but a glimpse at Daredevil: Born Again season 3 could also be on the cards. Additionally, Multiple rumors indicate that the X-Men cast announcement will come our way during the event.

It's clear big reveals are coming our way during D23, and the best part is that we don't have to wait long to discover what Marvel has in store for us.
