After the cancellation of Netflix's Daredevil, there was a time when it seemed like Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock would never make another appearance on the small screen. But fast-forward a few years, and his first-ever series produced by Disney and set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has just wrapped up its first season. Daredevil: Born Again has been at the center of conversations due to its amazing finale, which left us eager to see what the future holds for the character. Fortunately, we won't have to wait long to see how the Devil of Hell's Kitchen will dismantle the Kingpin's reign of terror.
The second season of Daredevil: Born Again will officially be released in March 2026, and principal photography is already on its way. Furthermore, Marvel has already started to promote the upcoming batch of episodes with a set video that reveals an unexpected comeback. If you were a fan of the original Netflix adaptation, then there's a big surprise for you in store.

Marvel releases a Daredevil: Born Again season 2 set video
"That's just the beginning. We have a lot more coming on the second season... in Hell's Kitchen".
Daredevil: Born Again is a project created out of two different visions. Initially, it was meant to be a complete reboot with no connection to the Netflix adaptation before it. The role of Vanessa Fisk was recast, Karen Page wasn't planned to make an appearance, and previous events would've been completely ignored. You can still see traces of this original concept in the final cut, as the Kingpin is unexplicably out of prison, Matt Murdock lives in a different apartment altogether, and Hell's Kitchen isn't even the main setting this time around.
Fortunately, a new creative team entered mid-production and added as many connections as possible to the Netflix adaptation. It's worth keeping in mind that a lot of footage was already filmed by the previous team and had to be used to meet deadlines. But even with those limitations, we got the return of Karen and Foggy, as well as some little surprises, such as Ray Nadeem being named-dropped by Vanessa (who is now portrayed by Ayelet Zurer once again). On the bright side, there will be no leftover material going into the second season, and it seems like the bond to the previous series will only be stronger as evidenced by a set video shared by the official Marvel account.
That's right: Fogwell's Gym is back — the same location in which Jack Murdock used to fight and where Matt often trained to become Daredevil. Even the "Creel vs Murdock" poster can be seen on the back wall, which is sure to make any long-time fan happy. Furthermore, judging by Vincent D'Onofrio's words, it wouldn't be far-fetched to assume the show could go back to its previous Hell's Kitchen setting. After all, Matt's apartment was quite literally blown away in the finale of Born Again. So, where does he go now? Home, of course. Coupled with the reports that Karen will be a series regular moving forward, it appears Born Again season 2 will have more of the feel of the original Netflix adaptation.
With so little time left until the release of the new season, it's just a matter of time before more news start to come our way. Set photos have already revealed Daredevil's new suit (with the DD chest logo), Bullseye's latest costume, and Karen's undercover look. Furthermore, a lot of familiar faces will be coming back as revealed by actors' trailers seen on set. Maybe we could even get an early look at the "army" Matt will build to take down the Kingpin of crime in the near future.
While most Marvel live-action series weren't renewed for a second season, it's great to know Daredevil: Born Again was the exception (along with Loki). The best part is that we won't have to wait years to get a new batch of episodes, as is the case with numerous series nowadays. The future is looking bright for Daredevil fans, and we can't wait to see where Matt's adventures take him next (hopefully to a place where Foggy is revealed to be alive).
Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will be released in March 2026.
