In the previous episode of My Adventures with Superman, Jimmy Olsen, as the kids say, fumbled the bag. Kara Zor-El (Supergirl) has romantic feelings for him, and he sadly succumbed to his insecurities. Granted, we’ve all had moments when the negative voices in our heads tell us we aren’t good enough. The good news is this probably won’t last long. This is the classic “will they/won’t they” storyline. Eventually (and probably before the end of this season), they’ll get together.
Also, Cat Grant is a jerk. Yes, that’s her whole thing, but this was brutal. Thankfully, someone was there to speak up for Kara, and it was the debut of a future Green Lantern, Jessica Cruz. That young girl seemed to have given Kara the courage to speak up for herself and take Jimmy up on his offer.
On the Superman front, we learn that Kryptonite is no longer hard to find, thanks to the robots from the second season. And like we saw in Dan Slott’s Superman Unlimited, that is a problem that will affect the success of the Man of Steel. However, it will make for great TV.

What to expect in the next episode of My Adventures With Superman
Last week's episode of My Adventures With Superman was a big one so it stands to reason that the upcoming one will be too. Captain Hank Henshaw made his debut as Lex Luthor’s hero in the previous installment and, in typical Lex Luthor fashion, he dresses Hank as Superman and puts his trademark “L” logo on his chest. It’s great branding, but pretty dumb if your creation does something destructive or dangerous (which will probably happen at some point). But for all of Luthor’s intelligence, he's known for his arrogance being his downfall.
In the preview of the next episode above, you’ll see Hank go after another superpowered villain, but he will also attack Superman. There’s no way this will go over well for the public, and it will likely lead to Hank becoming a villain after the crowd eventually turns on him. This will be a bigger problem since there’s no way Lex isn’t equipping Hank’s robot body with Kryptonite weapons. When that happens, Lex will be forced to realize that he, once again, needs Kal-El’s help to save the day. Stay tuned to Bam Smack Pow to find out if that’s the case.
