2026 has been packed with superhero movies and TV series that have ranged from body-horror origin stories in the form of Clayface to comedic and light-hearted tales like Wonder Man. Most of these projects have already come and gone, with VisionQuest being in the middle of its run. However, one particular film still eludes us, and it is perhaps the most exciting one yet.

Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be the most ambitious Marvel Cinematic Universe project ever, and with good reason. For the first time in over seven years, Earth's Mightiest Heroes will finally assemble on the big screen to fight against Doctor Doom for the fate of the multiverse. Expectations are at an all-time high, and fans are eager to see what surprises lie in store. But despite the fact that two Avengers: Doomsday trailers have already been released, Marvel has kept most of the film's plot under wraps. Fortunately, the time for secrecy may finally be coming to an end.

Marvel will release a special look at Avengers: Doomsday during the World Series Game 1 of the MLB

First, reports emerged claiming that Marvel would release a new Avengers: Doomsday trailer on Oct. 23, 2026. Fortunately, these rumors have now been confirmed, as a "special look" at the upcoming superhero crossover will play during Game 1 of the MLB World Series.

The game is set to start at 8 p.m. ET, and a key detail to keep in mind is that the footage is unlikely to be dropped online immediately after. Instead, Marvel could surprise audiences with an Avengers: Doomsday sneak peek at any point during the game (likely during the Seventh-Inning Stretch). So, without further ado, here's when Game 1 of the World Series will kick off in different time zones:

  • Hawaii (US): 2:00 p.m. HST on Friday, October 23
  • Alaska (US): 4:00 p.m. AKDT on Friday, October 23
  • West Coast (US): 5:00 p.m. PT on Friday, October 23
  • Mountain (US): 6:00 p.m. MT on Friday, October 23
  • Central (US): 7:00 p.m. CT on Friday, October 23
  • East Coast (US): 08:00 p.m. ET on Friday, October 23
  • Brazil: 09:00 p.m. BRT on Friday, October 23
  • UK: 1:00 a.m. BST on Saturday, October 24
  • France and Central Europe: 2:00 a.m. CEST on Saturday, October 24
  • Eastern Europe: 3:00 a.m. EEST on Saturday, October 24
  • India: 5:30 a.m. IST on Saturday, October 24
  • China: 08:00 a.m. CST on Saturday, October 24
  • South Korea: 09:00 a.m. KST on Saturday, October 24
  • Japan: 09:00 a.m. JST on Saturday, October 24
  • Australia: 11:00 a.m. AEDT on Saturday, October 24
  • New Zealand: 12:00 p.m. NZDT on Saturday, October 24

The biggest question in store is: What will Marvel showcase? The first clip of Avengers: Doomsday? A brand new trailer? Or perhaps just one poster? While a concrete answer still eludes us, MLB host Kait Maniscalco teased that it will be a teaser of "an iconic baseball scene" filmed for the crossover project.

Fans have widely speculated that the Avengers: Doomsday scene Marvel will air during World Series Game 1 of MLB has already been revealed in a plot leak. The sequence reportedly features Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm in their home universe at a baseball game. Suddenly, they get an alert that someone broke into the Baxter Building, and they go back to their headquarters in a heartbeat. There, they see Sue Storm talking to a "mysterious figure," who will turn out to be none other than Doctor Doom. This would directly tie to the post-credits scene of The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Granted, it's important to take rumors with a grain of salt. However, it makes sense for the Avengers: Doomsday footage to be baseball-related, especially if it drops in an MLB game. Moreover, there's also a scenario in which we don't get a completely new trailer, but just a clip from the movie (which would be a first).

Less than two months separate us from the release of Avengers: Doomsday, so Marvel will likely double down on marketing and promotional material moving forward. So even if we only get a clip tomorrow, a third (and likely last) trailer is likely to be dropped in the weeks to follow. Better yet, it isn't long now before we discover which surprises the MLB game has in store for Marvel fans.

Avengers: Doomsday will be released on Dec. 18, 2026.
