Avengers: Doomsday is not only shaping up to be the biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe film ever, but also one of the most ambitious superhero projects as a whole. Earth's Mightiest Heroes will assemble once more after being out of the picture for over seven years, and anticipation levels are at an all-time high. The studio knows it has a potential home run on its hands, which is why it has been promoting its upcoming crossover since December 2025—one full year before it hits theaters.
Four different Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailers were released to kick things off, each one focusing on a different hero and officially confirming that Chris Evans' Steve Rogers will be back in action. Marvel has also released two full-length trailers at this point, alongside looks at new official merch (which may spoil some surprise returns). So now that the release date is less than two months away, the studio will look to give the film one final marketing push to draw as many fans as possible to movie theaters. And what better way to accomplish this goal than by releasing a new trailer? Fortunately, a new report reveals when to expect a future sneak peek at Avengers: Doomsday.

A new Avengers: Doomsday trailer will reportedly be released soon
According to insider ProjectHurts, a new Avengers: Doomsday trailer will be released on Oct. 23, 2026, at 9 AM EST. Given that it would be released nearly two months before the MCU project hits theaters, it's likely that we could still get an additional final trailer the week of December 14. The only question remaining is what footage Marvel would decide to showcase next.
There have been multiple rumors and reports about the plot of Avengers: Doomsday—from its opening sequence down to its ending. However, Marvel has yet to give us a true sense of the events that will unfold later this year. The focus is likely to be on Doctor Doom, so the upcoming trailer could show more about his backstory and the time he spent with his family. We could also see him fighting more heroes other than Thor.
The post-credits scene of Avengers Endgame: Encore revealed that the ruler of Latveria has been "collecting" multiple heroes, including Bruce Banner. Rumors suggest that the villain is assembling his very own team of followers, and we could finally see more of them in action. If that's the case, then the upcoming trailers could confirm the appearance of previously unannounced characters as well.
The official Avengers: Doomsday cast revealed over 25 characters that are set to fight for the fate of the multiverse later this year. However, characters like Captain Marvel, Kate Bishop, Ms. Marvel, and Deadpool were completely left out. While the most likely scenario is that any "surprise" appearance will be saved for release day, Marvel could also decide to showcase some of them in the trailers to build anticipation for its upcoming project and keep the conversation among fans going.
So far, the two official Avengers: Doomsday trailers have shared plenty of scenes. As such, a new trailer could give us a better look behind the curtain—showcasing more of the Avengers fighting the Sentinels or perhaps giving us a better sense of the roles of Namor, Ghost, and Bob in the story. After all, these heroes have been mostly absent from the promotional material so far.
The clock is ticking, and Doom's arrival is getting closer. While Avengers: Doomsday is one of those films that could probably get away with not having any trailers, the MCU needs a big success after the underwhelming commercial reception of Thunderbolts*, Captain America: Brave New World, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. As such, more Avengers: Doomsday trailers should be on the horizon, and the next one could be closer than expected.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released on Dec. 18, 2026.
