The next Marvel movie after Captain America 4 is coming sooner than you think

If the Star-Spangled Man left you hungry for more Marvel, here's when you can see the next MCU adventure on the big screen (and the small one, too)!

It's safe to say that Captain America: Brave New World has taken the world by storm. The fourth installment in the Captain America film series has overperformed at the box office in its opening weekend, racking up an impressive $192.4 million worldwide (including $100 million domestically across just three days of the four-day weekend in the US). It's a strong start that highlights critic reviews aren't everything, and provided the movie maintains some kind of legs throughout the next few weeks, it should break even and finish around $500 - $600 million.

It's a vote of confidence for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the franchise has had a number of box office lows in recent years, with last year's Deadpool and Wolverine marking the beginning of a cinematic comeback. Disney Plus series Agatha All Along also received high praise and a strong fan response, suggesting that the franchise was bouncing back. Although Captain America 4 faltered in the critics department, it seems to be holding onto the fanbase, earning a high audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

If Captain America: Brave New World reignited your passion for the MCU, here is when you can expect the next installment on the big screen. The good news is that you don't have to wait too long for the next MCU movie.

Thunderbolts* arrives on the big screen this May

There are many exciting movie properties coming to the screen in 2025 and Thunderbolts* might just be the most unique of all of them. The second of three MCU cinematic releases, the film is a collection of unresolved plot threads from previous Marvel movies all wrapped up in an adventure involving some of the franchise's most beloved supporting characters.

Like Captain America: Brave New World, it is a spinoff / sequel to Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, as it will bring back Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes and Wyatt Russell's John Walker. It also serves as both of those things to Black Widow too, bringing back Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova, David Harbour's Red Guardian and Olga Kurylenko's Taskmaster, while also featuring Ant-Man and the Wasp's Hannah John-Kamen, who reprises her role as Ghost.

The unlikely team of not-heroes bands together to battle a greater threat in the form of The Void and, judging by the looks of the Super Bowl trailer, they are really going to need to work together to stand a chance of defeating him. The good news is that it looks like fans are in for an unforgettable adventure with this one when Thunderbolts* arrives in movie theaters on May 2, 2025.

TV series Daredevil: Born Again premieres in March too

If you can't wait for Marvel's next trip to the big screen, the studio's next TV series arrives much sooner than that on the small screen. Daredevil: Born Again premieres on March 4, 2025, and it's set to bring the MCU fully into that TV-MA era that the franchise officially introduced in Echo.

A sequel series to the classic Netflix show Daredevil, the upcoming sequel will reunite Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock with longtime archenemy Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) as they seemingly work together to take down a more treacherous foe known as Muse. Also returning are Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page, Elden Henson's Foggy Nelson, Jon Bernthal's Punisher, Wilson Bethel's Bullseye, and Ayelet Zurer's Vanessa Fisk.

This one has been a long time coming, as fans have been waiting for Marvel Studios to officially welcome the world of the grounded street-level Netflix shows into the MCU. After introducing Cox's Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home and D'Onofrio's Fisk in Hawkeye, a sequel series was inevitable and, although original plans were to reimagine the characters as new MCU versions, a creative overhaul resulted in the decision to officially canonize the decade-old shows. What went down in Daredevil is important to this one, and what goes down in Daredevil: Born Again will finally carry on that story - officially as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
