24 Once Upon a Time villains ranked worst to best

Once Upon A Time did such a great job of taking the fairytale stories and characters we know, and revamping them into something new. Some were similar to their origins, while other characters are villains in the version of the show. The twists and turns were always coming, and they were so fun to experience!

We've had some great, and some not so great, villains across the seven seasons of OUAT. There's the evil-doers we love to hate, those who didn't really hit. Check out our list of 24 Once Upon a Time villains ranked worst to best below!

Gothel

We get Gothel's backstory, showing us how humans ruined her home and killed everyone there, thus making her turn evil. But this doesn't excuse her later actions with Wish Hook, which is assault, and the fact that she cursed him to be away from Alice, her own daughter. And she abandoned her. She's mad at humanity in general, but what was the point of doing all of that? The character just got repetitive as the season went on. Being the main villain of the season, she didn't measure up to other major ones like Zelena and Rumpelstiltskin.

Lady Tremaine (Wish Realm)

This was another character that I guess had an interesting backstory being the actual Rapunzel. But was Lady Tremaine actually interesting? Not really. I feel like the show tried to make her into a Regina 2.0 in Hyperion Heights with the short hair, the outfits, and the position of power. But, I didn't really buy it. Because of Lady Tremaine, her daughter Drizella (Wish Realm) goes down a dark path before being redeemed at the end.
