5. Lucius and Draco Malfoy

Is there are father-son duo as reprehensible as Lucius and Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series? I don't think so. Draco and Lucius form a quick rivalry with Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Given the familiar history, it makes sense, but my guy Lucius is an adult man fighting with 11- and 12-year-olds in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It's such a bad look. Not only is he a big weirdo, but he's also kind of stupid by giving away one of the six things most important to Voldemort, the Horcrux he made out of his diary.

Lucius Malfoy, played by Jason Isaacs in a wild wig in the Harry Potter movies, is one of the most disliked characters in the Harry Potter series, but his son is a close second. Draco, played by Tom Felton in the movies, isn't just mean to Harry, but he's one of the biggest cowards and cruelest characters we meet. He's horrible to everyone, basically, even his friends, Crabbe and Goyle, who are awful in their own right. We also see that Draco isn't really cut out for that Death Eater life, though, and neither is Lucius, honestly. The Malfoys, including Narcissa, are clear examples of what happens when the wealthy latch on to authoritarian figures to position themselves above others. And, they got burned in the end.

For Draco, though, it's clear that he had very little going for him. He's a good rival to Harry, Ron, and Hermione, but Harry is smarter, more resourceful, and better at sports than the young Malfoy. It's actually kind of making me sad how much of a loser he was. I need to stop now.
