We're all still recovering from those Avengers: Doomsday reports from the beginning of the week and now we have another apparently leaked Marvel trailer making the headlines. Yep, on the week that was supposed to be all about next year's Avengers extravaganza from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the internet has been alive with leaks regarding the first Avengers trailer (which was released exclusively in theaters) as fans attempted to deduce whether that shocker of a return was real or not (it seemingly was). As annoying as the leaks may be for Marvel, they were anticipated. This leak, however? Not so much.

Somehow, someway, the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has seemingly made its way around the internet. Now, of course, there isn't much to go on as the quality was reportedly very poor, with some fans not even convinced that it was the real thing. But there is now quite a lot of evidence to suggest that it is - and if that's the case, we're in for one heck of a movie.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day's leaked trailer has fans abuzz over Sadie Sink's character and more

According to reports from those who have seen the trailer, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will feature a monologue from Peter Parker himself, reminding us who he is and why he had to have a spell cast to make everyone forget that he exists. It also seemingly features some reveals regarding Sadie Sink's mysterious character. And that alone has set the internet abuzz.

Fans were quickly taking to social media to share their reactions to the clip, including one who offered up crying emojis at the fact that two Marvel trailers got leaked in two consecutive days. Another pointed out the irony in the fact that the leak happened on the four-year anniversary of the previous Spider-Man movie.

So, the question remains of whether it actually is the real deal? It sounds like it is, because not only is the blurred footage reportedly very convincing, Sony Pictures has begun issuing DMCA notices, pulling all of the trailers from social media platforms X, formerly Twitter, and Reddit. Naturally, fans don't think they would be going to this effort to protect a fan-made trailer, which suggests that it might indeed be the real thing.

Ironically, between the poor quality and the unexpectedness of it all, this actually isn't the first time that a Spider-Man trailer has leaked in this manner. It's eerily reminiscent of when the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer leaked online back in 2021 - a moment that offered fans one of the first looks at one of the most anticipated movies of all time.

Tom Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man himself, in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is set to launch a new trilogy starring the webslinger. It carries on from Jon Watts' Homecoming trilogy and is set to be directed by Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on July 31, 2026.
