Sony has been so quiet about the wall-crawler's upcoming film that J. Jonah Jameson would be proud of the lack of news regarding the so-called hero. The masked menace is finally set to swing back onto the big screen and into the Marvel Cinematic Universe after nearly half a decade, courtesy of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. But despite the highly anticipated movie being set to release on July 31, a trailer is still eluding us.

It was first reported that the first Spider-Man: Brand New Day teaser trailer would be attached to Avatar: Fire and Ash in December 2025, though that ultimately wasn't the case. It seemed like the Super Bowl would be the next likely place where the wall-crawler could steal the spotlight, but Marvel missed out on the event altogether. So, when is the trailer coming our way? Well, we could finally have a definitive answer.

The Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer will reportedly be released in March

According to reliable insider Cryptic HD QUALITY, the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in March (specifically the last two weeks of the month). On the one hand, it can be disappointing to learn we still have a bit of a lengthy wait ahead of us, especially since a trailer was leaked as early as late 2025. However, there's a good reason for this delay.

Rumor has it that Sony wasn't satisfied with the reception to the leaked trailer, so they have been polishing the VFX of a previously unseen action sequence to add it to the mix as well. Furthermore, it has been reported that this new, improved look was recently tested, meaning the wait for it is finally coming to an end.

While March might seem very late in the game for a trailer release, it makes sense considering Marvel's track record. The first teaser for Avengers: Endgame—which is perhaps the most secretive MCU project to date—was released 140 days before the crossover's release. The trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home was released 116 days before the movie hit theaters. Furthermore, the trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder came just 92 days before the God of Thunder jumped into action once again.

At the time of writing this, we're 158 days away from the release of Brand New Day, so there's still a pretty lengthy window for the trailer's release. If our first look at the movie were to come on the Monday of the last week of March, it would still be 130 days before the big day, which is consistent with other MCU movies.

During an interview with Who Let Us Out Movies, Spider-Man: Brand New Day director Destin Daniel Cretton teased that the first trailer "is coming", though he didn't reveal any potential release windows. However, it does signal that Marvel is actively working on it and should come our way soon, especially given how many surprises are starting to leak ahead of time.

Official merch art has unveiled our first look at Scorpion in his mechanical suit, Tarantula, Boomerang, and Spidey in his new costume. Furthermore, these images indirectly confirm the scoop that Savage Hulk will make his MCU debut, as the Green Giant isn't wearing his Professor Hulk glasses anymore. That's without taking into account the leaked trailer itself, which recreated many iconic Spider-Man comic book covers. The longer Sony holds onto the trailer, the more surprises will make their way online ahead of time.

Fortunately, it seems March will finally mark an end to the wait, and we can't wait to get a better look at the wall-crawler's upcoming adventure.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on Jul. 31, 2026.
