VisionQuest will have a link to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but maybe not the one fans would want!
WandaVision was the first MCU TV show on Disney+, and many fans still consider it the best. A wild mix of Marvel action and meta storytelling, it focused on how Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) had a breakdown and created her own world based on TV shows where she and the Vision (Paul Bettany) could live together.
The show ended with the Vision being reborn into a new body, this one all-white to match the character’s look in the 1990s. Wanda, meanwhile, became the Scarlet Witch before her dark fate in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Now, Bettany will be playing the role in VisionQuest as this new Vision tries to find a life for himself. There are rumors abounding of some characters popping in with confirmation that there will be a link to the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show.
Sadly, in a Q&A with fans at The Cosmic Circus, Alex Perez had to kill the hopes of fans of the return of Daisy Ridley (Chloe Bennet) in the show.
“No. The connection to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has to do with AI.”

It’s always been tricky figuring out Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'S connection with the MCU. While it did integrate elements of big storylines (HYDRA infiltrating SHIELD), the show often seemed ignored by the main MCU movies and has barely been mentioned since it ended.
Having Daisy back would have been a boost for the series. Starting as Skye, the hacker character was eventually revealed to be an Inhuman, gaining powerful seismic powers as Quake. Having her come back as an agent to link to VisionQuest might have led to a revival of the Agents series. Not to mention it would give the franchise another power player to use.
The AI link does make sense as a major storyline in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. involved the Framework, a virtual reality world the characters were trapped in. That may be a good link for the Vision (while also giving Bettany an excuse to appear without the complex makeup) as he tries to understand humanity.
The series will involve James Spader as the murderous Ultron (and somehow in a human form as well) and rumors that Joe Locke will reprise his Agatha All Along role as Billy Maximoff, aka Wiccan, one of Wanda and Vision’s twin sons.
It does seem a shame that yet again Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is ignored by the MCU. Now, they have SWORD and Damage Control while ignoring how the reborn spy organization is a key part of the mythos. It would be great if Marvel could find a way to fully revive the show or at least SHIELD as a concept, but it won’t be in VisionQuest.
