Agents Of SHIELD Season 2, Episode 11 Synopsis – Aftershocks

After a winter break that seemed like it took forever but somehow still didn’t get us past all the ice and snow (though the time off was filled by the fabulous Agent Carter), Agents of SHIELD returns to answer the one dying question fans have had for months: now that we know Skye’s real name, is everyone going to start calling her Daisy?

Okay, so there are probably a few more questions besides that one. Also, now that she seems to have inherited the same seismic powers as her comic book counterpart, it might not be such a good idea to tease Skye/Daisy about her name, or anything else for that matter. She’s going to be front and center in this week’s new episode, “Aftershocks,” though that name could reference what the entire team is going through after a midseason finale that also saw Agent Triplett killed and Mack temporarily possessed.

Here’s what the official ABC synopsis says:

"Coulson’s team must deal with the consequences of their war with Hydra as shocking revelations threaten to tear them apart, and Hydra makes a dangerous move that may involve a traitor in S.H.I.E.L.D.’s midst."

A few quick thoughts:

  • Could the shocking revelations have to do with whatever Bobbi Morse and Mack are hiding from the rest of the team? I have a feeling that Lance Hunter is going to decide against joining them in their secret plan, but I could be wrong.
  • Even though it’s not back to anywhere near where it was prior to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it’s become pretty clear that there is more to SHIELD than just Coulson’s team. That being said, I really, really hope that the potential traitor inside the organization is someone other than a main cast member. Just seems too early to go back to that well.
  • When last we saw him, Fitz was promising to transfer. He’s obviously not going to do that, so I wonder how that will be explained.

Yep, definitely more than one question, and we haven’t even touched on how pissed off Raina is going to be since she’s been turned into something hideous while Skye has not. I’m sure she’s not going to take that well.
