Amazing Spider-Man 3 & 4, Sinister Six and Venom all get possible release dates

Earlier this week Amazing Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Mark Webb was confirmed to be manning the helm of the third movie, which Is imaginatively titled Amazing Spider-Man 3. I’m sure most of you will agree that this is decent news, whilst the first movie in Sony’s reboot didn’t blow me away it was decent enough, and whilst I have my reservations about the upcoming second movie it does have my inner fan-boy screaming to see so many Spider-Man villains in one place.

But when will fans be able to see the third Spider-Man film? Well, according to Yahoo! the current pencilled in release date is June 10th 2016. Which means that there currently isn’t a Spider-Man film planned for next year in 2015. However, it appears that after Amazing Spider-Man 2, Sony will be kick-starting their plan to have a Spider-Man film ever year.

This is because currently a fourth Spider-Man movie is set for sometime in 2018. Now it’s unclear whether or not this will be a continuation of the Amazing Spider-Man film series, or if it will one of the announced spin-offs, either Sinister Six or Venom. We do know that Andrew Garfield is currently only signed on for three movies, but that screenplay writer Roberto Orci confirmed that it would be the fourth straight Spider-Man movie.

Which brings me to the spin-off movies. Yahoo! goes on to speculate, that assuming the Spider-Man movie in 2018 is a the fourth in the Amazing Spider-Man series that we could be seeing the Venom and Sinister Six movies appearing in 2017 and 2019. This would certainly fit into Sony’s ‘one film a year’ plan and would be as good a guess as any at this point
