The voice cast announcements for the upcoming Disney XD Guardians of the Galaxy animated series have a nice rhythm to them. Five days, five main characters, so one announcement per day.

Today it was Gamora’s turn, with Disney revealing that Vanessa Marshall will voice everyone’s favorite interplanetary female butt-kicker. Like her fellow castmates, Marshall is an animation and video game veteran, and she’s already provided the voice to some of the biggest female super heroes around, including Wonder Woman and Black Canary.

Also, like the other people already signed up to play a part in bringing the Guardians to life in animated form, Marshall had a chance to introduce herself to fans in the video you see below. See doesn’t say all that much, except to confirm that Gamora is indeed the most dangerous woman in the galaxy.

That’s four heroes down and one to go, leaving just Drax the Destroyer unrevealed. Dave Bautista gave him a somewhat more humorous twist in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, so we’ll have to see if the cartoon version follows in that vein or is more a “handle your business” type.

Guardians of the Galaxy was originally expected to debut in 2016, but some outlets, like Comicbook.com are saying we could see it before the end of the year.
