We just reported on Drew Goddard’s denial, via his representatives, that, not only is he not involved with Marvel’s Spider-Man film in any way, either as a writer or director but that he hasn’t even spoken to Marvel about the possibility of being involved in the film.
This seems to contradict a scoop from an inside source that Latino Review posted that categorically stated that Goddard was a done deal as well as revealed lots of other things about Marvel’s Spider-Man reboot.
One such thing was that a rumour that Dylan O’Brien was cast as Spider-Man was false and that information given by redditleaker23456 confirming that wasn’t true because ‘casting hasn’t even started yet.’
This appears to have started a Spider-Man rumour war as redditleaker23456 has responded to the claims that their information is false by clearly indicating that they think some sort of studio deception is afoot and that the Latino Review information was purposely leaked by Marvel themselves to try and confuse matters regarding Dylan O’Brien.
"IMPORTANT MESSAGE: I have something to tell you guys.Keep a watchful eye out for the distortion and misconstrution of the truth. Right now, everyone is confused as to what’s happening because of all the contradicting, confusing, and conflicting reports. Do not trust any of it! You gotta understand that when sensitive info is leaked, companies (like Sony & Marvel) go out of their way to misinform the public until THEY make the OFFICIAL announcement. Just something to think about."
We’re now bordering dangerously close to conspiracy theory hack territory, if you start believing this stuff you’re only a stepping stone away from fearing the Illuminati and thinking that the Loch Ness Monster and Yeti are real!
