Exclusive — Convergence: Justice League Of America #1 Character Pages
By Nick Tylwalk
Detroit might not be the first city that comes to mind when someone mentions the Justice League of America, but there was a time during the mid-80s when the team set up shop in the Motor City. With the team’s most iconic heroes no longer willing or able to commit to the JLA, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Zatanna, Elongated Man and Vixen brought in newer, younger heroes like Vibe, Gypsy and Steel to boost their ranks.

That era didn’t last long, but even if you’re not old enough to remember it like I am, you’ll get a chance to revisit it during Convergence. DC isn’t kidding when it says every previous story and time period is in play during the upcoming event, which is why the Detroit roster is returning in Convergence: Justice League of America #1.
The team of veteran writer Fabian Nicieza and artist ChrisCross is doing the honors for this one, which goes on sale April 22, during the third week of Convergence tie-ins. Bam Smack Pow is pleased to offer up this exclusive look at character pages from the issue (click on them to see them even bigger), featuring art and a brief text history of how the world’s greatest super heroes got to this unique point in their evolution. Look for it in just a few weeks in stores or on digital, and stick with us for much more Convergence coverage.
