Animated Batman ’66 Movie Coming Next Year

Next year is the 50th anniversary of the Batman TV show and to help celebrate that (and possibly to try and cash in on the Batman fever that will be going on with Batman v. Superman releasing and to a lesser extent Suicide Squad), there will be a movie based on the series, which is now known as “Batman ’66”.

The Batman ’66 animated movie will star the voices of stars Adam West and Burt Ward. Burt Ward, who played Robin on the Batman ’66 show confirmed one film and hinted at the possibility of another:

"You can look forward to a new, animated Batman full-length 90-minute feature coming out on the fiftieth anniversary. One of possibly two, but for sure one, that Adam and I are going to be doing the voices for."

Well I just hope they put some actual effort into this movie rather than it being just a cheap cash-in attempt. I’m hesitant to say a movie based on Batman ’66 can be really good, but it can certainly be a fun film if done right. Either way we at Caped Crusades will be sure to update you with the latest news on the Batman ’66 animated film and review it as soon as we can.
