As Jason O’mara explains it, voice acting for action scenes is very different from voice acting for other types of scene. He describes it as “grunt acting” because well, they usually have to make a lot of grunting sounds. All the actors seem to agree it’s a little awkward at first, but you get used to it after a little time. The actors get very into the parts, doing movements to match the action and apparently they can occasionally get a little too into the scene and get injured!
