Who will be the next Spider-Man? As Harry Osborne said in the Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer, but not in the actual released film ‘now isn’t that the question of the day’. However the monumental task of speculating who will be the next Webhead has just got easier as Marvel have reportedly got the short-list down to five actors and previously announced new Spider-Man, Dylan O’Brien, isn’t one of them!
But who are the five lucky young actors that are in the running? Well, the list includes previously rumoured Asa Butterfield, Nat Wolff from upcoming movie Paper Towns, The Impossible starlet Tom Holland, Interstellar’s Timothee Chalamet and Liam James from The Way, Way Back.
This news comes from The Wrap who add that “Sony is preparing to make test offers to several young stars next week, with a decision expected in the next 2-3 weeks, though a deal may take longer to hammer out.” Although they do go on to add that none of this is a guarantee, these are just names consistently coming from trusted sources!
Would you like any of these young actors as Spider-Man?
