First Group Image From Suicide Squad Movie Revealed

For fans waiting for a bigger taste of what all the characters will look like in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie, director David Ayer gave everyone a little weekend treat.

Ayer took to Twitter to show off the assembled cast ready for action with a pretty simple and fitting caption.

Included in this shot are Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Cara Delevingne as the Enchantress, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot (ending some of the speculation/furor over his cowboy look from earlier in the week) and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc. Noticeably absent is Jared Leto as the Joker, whose reveal caused a flurry of mixed reactions, but that’s not a huge shock as I don’t expect him to be an actual field agent for Task Force X in the movie.

My favorite of the costumes here is probably Katana, who is a dead ringer for her comic book counterpart. The makeup folks did a nice job on Killer Croc as well.

Principal photography is already underway on Suicide Squad, which is slated for an August 5, 2016 release.
