One thing we will never argue about is that last summer’s blockbuster hit Guardians of the Galaxy was filled with laughter, joy, and sadness.  It seems that the sequel will be just as much of a roller coaster ride of emotions as the first.  Speaking to Digital Spy, actor Chris Pratt, who famously played Peter Quill / Star-Lord in the film, divulged that he’s heard director/writer James Gunn’s pitch for what’s in store in Guardians of the Galaxy 2.  In the video, Pratt talks about the music (Awesome Mix 2) and how he reacted when he heard Gunn’s ideas.

There you have it.  Gunn’s pitch and idea “legitimately put tears” in the actor’s eyes.  Well Chris, you certainly didn’t help with that statement.  First, you tell us to treat it like Christmas and not ruin it for ourselves.  Then, you go on and gave us your assessment of the sequel.  How can we not want to take a peek!?

Set to be released on May 5, 2017, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will be directed by James Gunn, written by James Gunn and Nicole Perlman, and star Chris Pratt as Peter Quill / Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Groot, and Bradley Cooper as Rocket.
