Report: Wolverine Will Be In X-Men: Apocalypse

Even with only one solo Wolverine movie left, Hugh Jackman could be appearing as the famous Canadian mutant three more times. Not only has the actor been vague about whether or not he’d be appearing as Wolverine in the Deadpool movie, it now appears we might have confirmation that Jackman will pop his claws in X-Men: Apocalypse as well.

Umberto Gonzalez and his team at Heroic Hollywood are at it again, this time catching an Instagram post by KikaNY, a leather goods company that posted a sketch of a special bag it was working on for Jackman — and why he needed it.

"We were just asked to make a special duffle backpack for Hugh Jackman who is filming the new X MEN movie in Montreal. We started sketching – The bag will be ready next week- we will keep you posted! #hughjackman #Xmen #movie #backpack #special"

The company later responded to a commenter by saying it might not send the bag because of the “shady producer of photo shoot,” but this is one of those “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” type of deals. It’s pretty safe to see we can expect to see Wolverine in X-Men: Apocalypse in some capacity.

And honestly, with the upcoming Bryan Singer movie being described as the third part in a trilogy that began with X-Men: First Class, it wouldn’t be right to not have Logan make an appearance. Jackman’s cameo in First Class was followed up by his key role in X-Men: Days of Future Past, so it would be fitting if he played a part in bringing this particular X-Men arc to a close.

So if we assume Wolverine is in both Apocalypse and Deadpool, that will make the third and final Wolverine solo movie Jackman’s tenth film playing the character. That’s an impressive total, and one that we might not see from any other actor in super hero movies any time soon.
