Megalyn Echikunwoke To Voice Vixen On CW Seed Series
By Nick Tylwalk
Mari McCabe has a voice. I mean that literally, since Vixen Varsity says that Megalyn Echikunwoke will be the voice of Vixen when the six-part animated series rolls out on CW Seed this fall.

Fans of Arrow and The Flash will definitely want to check out Vixen, which won’t even require much of a time commitment since the whole thing will only be 30 minutes long. Not only is is set in the Arrow-verse, it features the voices of Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin, Emily Bett Rickards and Carlos Valdes in the same roles you know them in from the live-action DC super hero series.
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim has teased that Vixen will introduce the concept of magic to that shared universe, though Felicity Smoak and Cisco Ramon will no doubt be trying to explain it in scientific terms. The title character sounds like she will be pretty close to her comics counterpart, using a totem to take on the attributes of various animals as she fights crime.
As for Echikunwoke, you may have seen her in main cast roles on CSI: Miami or The 4400. The 32-year old is also a series regular on Damien, the upcoming A&E series based on the horror classic The Omen.
The CW hasn’t given an exact release date yet for Vixen, but keep your eyes peeled for more info on it later this summer.
